This Privacy Policy aims to explain how and why Biotech Future Forum (in following text referred to as the “Conference”), as the data controller, processes your personal data and the measures it takes to ensure your data is secure and protected. The processing of personal data is carried out in accordance with the Law on Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Serbia. By accepting this Privacy Policy, you agree to the use of your personal data under the terms stated in this Policy.

Personal data is processed only when there is a legal basis for it: Legal obligation to perform tasks in the public interest or execution of legally prescribed powers, For the purposes of executing a contract, User consent, Protection of the vital interests of users, Legitimate interest of the Conference.

  • Personal Data: name and surname, country, identification document number.
  • Contact Data: email address, phone number.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type and version, operating system, internet service provider, time and date of page visits, location, pages visited, mobile phone identifier, number of clicks (for user movement analysis on the website, trend analysis, website administration, collection of useful and comprehensive demographic information).
  • Publicly Available Data: data publicly disclosed in any way, such as on websites or social networks.

  • 4.1. Registration on our website: When registering for the conference, you provide data used to verify conference attendees to prevent fraud and malpractices. The required personal data include:

The Conference forwards users’ personal data to other recipients solely based on legal obligations and compliance with regulatory requirements, i.e., justified requests from competent authorities or in case of the establishment, exercise, or defense of legal claims.

Your personal data is stored on servers located in the territory of Serbia. If the data we collect from you is transferred to a recipient, these data recipients will store your data. We strive to ensure that your personal data is handled in accordance with this policy and that data recipients have the same or similar organizational, technical, and personnel measures as we do. Some of the data recipients with whom we share your personal data may have servers located outside the territory of the Republic of Serbia, but in such cases, adequate levels of protection are ensured with appropriate data protection measures in place.

We retain your data only as long as necessary to achieve the purposes or fulfil our legal obligations. We store your personal data for the period in which you are a user of our services, i.e., until the conference is held. After the conference, your data will be deleted.

Biotech Future Forum protects personal data with appropriate organizational, technical, and legal protection measures. When determining these protection measures, we always consider the amount, type, and sensitivity of the data, as well as other circumstances that affect the assessment of potential risks to your rights and freedoms. We demand the same level of responsibility and security from our contractual partners (processors).

We have also appointed a Data Protection Officer who you can contact at office@biotechfutureforum.gov.rs. The Data Protection Officer is responsible for supervising the legality of personal data processing, protecting the rights and freedoms of users (and other individuals whose data we process), and advising responsible persons on best practices in the field of personal data protection. Each received request will be resolved as soon as possible, and no later than 30 days from receipt. When contacting us and making the stated requests, we will make reasonable efforts to verify your identity and prevent unauthorized processing of personal data.
